We Have a copper roof on our old church. . . Has the green patina it on it, order it HAS started to leak in Some spots. . we do not want to replace it. . Since it is so beautiful goal we Would Like to Take Some Preventative Maintenance Before it gets too bad. . .

there is a sealer for that kind of roof..i forgot the name of it..but u can ask ur local hardware stores ort roofing company…

Everything has a life expectancy. If it is really old and worn out, you’re just passing it on to the next generation by ‘repairing’ it. I think that copper is supposed to last about 50-70 years.
If it’s a standing seam roof and it’s leaking from holes on the flats, you can solder it if it hasn’t worn too thin and the holes aren’t too big (that lovely green patina is the roof rusting away, just like steel does). Check for loose fasteners and seams. Make sure it’s not just leaking around a chimney, vent pipe, or some other protrusion. Ceilings never drip directly below a leak. You have to trace the leak and find where it originates.

there is a sealant called multimetal copper use that it will be good sealant and also will last long
