I’m not sure what my necklace is made of, Which Probably HAS to do with this lot. It Was Originally gold-plated, order now it’s worn to silver. I dropped it one day in my sink, and ever since then, my skin smelled like copper HAS Afterwards. . . After your hands smell like you’ve been holding currency and it’s really gross. Is There anyway to clean my necklace so this Does not happen anymore? :

as far as i know, i’m pretty sure copper will always smell like copper. you’re best bet is to go to a jeweler and see what they think. maybe they could give you a solution or cleaner.

If the gold plait is gone, there isn’t really a way to stop the smell unless you get it plated again. Thing is, iron (which I presume your necklace is made of) and bad quality steel, once the plate is gone, rust and go copper-colored, and also, it turns the skin underneath blue. it’s because it oxydises. I would either buy a new necklace, which is probably cheaper, or get this one plated at a jewelers.
