Please only answer the questions with intelligent suggestions. In my rental farm house the copper pipes the basement Have a layer of black on em. The silver sink faucets, etc. in the bathrooms aussi display the same problem. The faucets and pipes Can Be Cleaned with a cleaning solution returns the black object in a day. The person living in the house wears sterling silver jewelry and this turns aussi. Please help and Advise me as to Who to turn to for help or testing. Thanks so very much.

Maybe there are some acidic fumes in the air? Is there a bank of lead-acid batteries somewhere? Maybe some muriatic acid lying around intended for a swimming pool? Is there natural sulfur in the area? Silver blackens on its own eventually, but sulfur and humidity make it happen fast.
