slow hot water to shower faucet and head?

Here’s One That Could not fix a plumber. . . at least never cam back ET. The hot water, not the cold, in our 2nd floor shower, both, head and faucet, Comes out very slow, like showering Under a sprinkling can. No leaks, copper tubing, shower head water saver filter clean and out, new boiler, and pressure WAS laundry charges. The sink, Which feeds from The Same tubing, thin flows. La m

did you take the shower head off – and run it w/o the head??
confirm it’s NOT the shower head?

It sounds like you may have some calcium buildup on the hot water side of the shower in you valve…you can try changing out the hot water side valve stem (buy this a Lowe’s or Home Depot). If you choose to change out the stem I would get a small wire brush and try to clean out the valve seat and as much of the tube as you can going both ways.

The other option would be to change out the shower valve. This is expensive and time consuming so I would try the valve stem first.

You didn’t say what type of shower valve you have. It may be single handle or a 3 valve diverter. Either way, get the right parts for the one you have and rebuild it. This happens all the time.
